Railcards: Discounted Train Travel

Did you know that a Railcard could save you money on train journeys?

Most Railcards offer a third off eligible train fares, making them a great way to save money whether you’re travelling for work, visiting friends and family or enjoying a day out.

How does it work?

There are several different Railcards available, with eligibility depending on factors such as your age, personal circumstances or who you travel with.

Railcards are available for one year, with some also offering three-year options. You can purchase them online, and many are available in digital or physical formats.

Once you have a Railcard, you can use it to purchase discounted train tickets, subject to the conditions of your chosen Railcard. Some have restrictions on travel times, minimum fares or the types of tickets eligible for a discount.
